  1. I love your cards, and I enjoyed your video. I have had a Gelli Plate for a couple of years, and I’m still trying to get my courage up to use it. lol.

In response to your question on the video, I have done a little mixed media–embossing paste and stencils; embossing, torching (with a candle), or stamping on metal. Once I did a swap where we made mixed-media projects, 4-inch squares of heavy watercolor paper. I had them spread out on my kitchen table for days and tried to use all the techniques I learned in a video that was using a huge canvas. I played with acrylics, tin foil, cheesecloth, etc. I had a blast.

Thank you for your video and for sharing your wonderful cards.

    • How fun! Mixed Media gives us so many wow moments – I absolutely LOVE it. SO glad you enjoyed the video. With a Gelli Plate – there is no right or wrong. You’ll sit and make print after print after print. NOT every one is a slam dunk gorgeous piece – look at them as starting pieces rather. Just have fun with it. There’s zero pressure. If you don’t have stencils, no big deal – use egg cartons, doilies, etc… anything that makes a mark for instance. All you need are the three primary colors and I’d start with some bright ones. Add a few more and expand as you go. Just enjoy. 🙂
