1+2=3 Black, Silver and Gold

If you joined me the other day for my Merry Monday Challenge entry, then you saw this card.  Have you ever had a stamp just get under your skin and you can’t stop working with it?  Well, seven cards later, that was me yesterday!

Today will be day two of this month’s 1+2=3 Series. Remember this?  Back in June I started this series with the classic stamp set Lovely as a Tree.  This month, it’s the stamp from Ornament Keepsakes (1 stamp set) + the two colors Silver and Gold (Black and White as my neutrals) = three looks (or in my case…seven…lol).

As you can see, I went for a complete Clean and Simple look.  Each item is embossed, including the string for the ornaments.

Simple Ornament Fun

This is a fun quick little card using some of the products in our October Ornament Special.  I cut out the ornaments using our Holiday Ornament Framelits and some of the Designer Series Paper from the Festival of Prints DSP Stack. 

  • When using your Framelits in your Big Shot, use small post it notes to keep them in place if you need to.  This helps when you want a particular design to be centered.  Layer so – Both Tabs Closed – Cutting Plate – Paper, image up so you can see – Framelit – cut side down, smooth side up – Post it Note – and lastly your Cutting Plate.
  • Try using the designs in cool ways – sideways, part of a design, you’ll be surprised what cool ornaments you can create.

I finished this card with a saying from the Merry& Type stamp set.  I rocked and rolled the saying for a multi-colored effect.

I love how this project turned out!  My inspiration was the card designed by Stampin’ Up! and seen here in my October Specials Newsletter.  You too can make this card in under five minutes!! Yes, you read that correctly.  Have fun creating!
