I love texture.  This card has the all the richness of antique texture without too many layers.  It’s simple, but quite dimensional.  I used the vintage wallpaper embossing folder to get this gorgeous look

• To emboss the entire card front from edge to edge you need to fold the card in half first then exactly place it in the folder.  You will not get a miniscule part of one side, but it’s so small that you will not see it. 

The beauty of this card is in the details.  After stamping and cutting out the largest ornament of the Ornament Keepsakes Collection, I popped it up on dimensionals and tied it to one of three Little Leaves Sizzlits branch.  

• I trimmed a few of the branches once I tucked and overlapped them behind each other to give the look of garland. 
• The easiest way to add adhesive to some of these thin punched out Sizzlits shapes and letters is to apply it to the shape while it is whole before punching out.  You will have a bigger surface to work with, and much more control.  Plus you won’t get any left over adhesive on your workspace!

For a little contrast, I put a piece of River Rock behind the ornament to really make it pop – after all, it’s the same color as the card.  I wanted to add a few finishing touches, so I paper pierced the edge of the River Rock card stock and added some Pearl Basic Jewels.

• I have collected several paper piercing tools over the years, and I encourage you to try the new Stampin’ Up! one – it has an ergonomic handle which has saved my fingers!  For just $3.95 it’s totally worth it.  When I’ve mass produced cards with paper piercing before I’d lose sensation in my fingers – this new tool has helped loads.
• The new Stampin’ Pierce Mat rocks.  It’s a huge surface (6 1/2” x 9 1/2”)and also helps to provide a great stamping surface.  I didn’t think I would love this tool as much as I do.

I just love the ornate look of the finished project.  I added a white card panel to the inside and put my saying there.  It’s a pretty Christmas card that anyone would love to get in the mail!
