Still in Style

One of the many things I love about stamping is that everything old is always everything new for me.  One of the very first techniques that I learned is the rock and roll technique.  It’s an oldie, but definitely a goodie.  Paired with some of the coolest stuff out there, you’re project will pop right off the page.

First I ran the Garden Green cardstock through my Big Shot using the Flower Garden Embossing Template and then stamped with the Kindness Matters stamp set (available in the catalog – but can also be FREE with a Sale-A-Bration order).  It’s a simple but fun card.  Below are two samples – one with just stamping the image off in one color and then punching it up with the rock and roll technique.

Here I stamped off the butterflies in Garden Green for a lighter shade before adding the Thanks in fully inked Garden Green.

And this one is taken to another level.  I rocked and rolled the butterflies in So Saffron and Garden Green for a little pop.  I also used the direct to paper technique on the Garden Green cardfront to give it a little more depth.

Now it’s your turn!
