Quick Clean and Simple One Layer Card

DSC00051

Here’s a quick little card that I think you’ll love.  The best part, you can interchange the sentiment for whatever you need.  I just love this stamp – you inspire me, from the retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set Perfect Words.  I love the sentiment, but more so, the font.  I love cool clean fonts.

Chances are, you probably already have a tree of some sort in your stash, be it an oak tree, evergreen or even palm tree!  Here I used Single Pine from the Nature Sheet I by Stampscapes.  I just love this tree!  I stamped my pine tree in Stampin Up Garden Green ink, and used an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker for the trunk.  I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso as well.

It’s a quick and simple card, yet it captivates you.  Don’t you just love One Layer Cards?!!  Now go make your own quick, simple masterpiece.

  1. Love the simplicity of one layer cards, your card is so perfect. I have the set Lovely as a Tree and this would work so great with the tall evergreen tree in that set. Yeah for keeping it simple.

    • Thanks Carol. I think that pine will work great on this card. Sometimes simple is just perfect. It’s funny, I have my last two cards on my desk in front of me at the moment, and I have to say, I love the one layer card more – not that I don’t love the other. It just stands out more – I think that’s cause of the simplicity – all that white space makes a bigger impact! Thanks for stopping by today. 🙂

  2. Beautiful card!!

I am starting to get used to one layer cards again : ) Sure saves on postage!!

    • Thanks Patti! Not to mention cost with savings on cardstock! I love one layer cards, took a little for me to get used to it too, but there’s just something great about the simplicity of it all, you know? Thanks for stopping by today! 🙂
