The Envelope Punch Board is your Answer!

Envelope Punch Board

You have been waiting, and the Envelope Punch Board (#133774) is finally here!  This is probably the coolest new tool on the paper crafting market today.  Finally – you can make envelopes of ALL sizes – up to 66 different ones!  Be sure to watch the short 4 minute video below on how this tool can make your life SO much simpler.  And at $19.95 it’s easy on the budget too!

The Creative Grove Envelope Special

Everyone who orders an Envelope Punch Board (#133774) using this hostess code – VWCWVJ34 through me by Wednesday September 4th will get a special packet of 20 sheets of – 6×6 Designer Series Paper (that’s a value of $5.50 worth!) mailed to them to use for liners or even your own 3” x 4” card sized envelopes!!  And don’t forget about The Creative Grove Rewards Program for free stamps too!

  • It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
  • It’s super easy to use!  It looks intimidating at first glance, but when they see that all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score – you’ll be hooked (in a good way).
  • It’s small and lightweight!  This makes it easy for you to store. It’s small and light enough that they could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend’s for craft night-anywhere.
  • It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
  • It’s easy to keep it all together!  The stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don’t have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won’t lose them!).

Santa’s List

Santas List 001 Main R

Santa’s List is a cute little three stamp set with an awesome jolly image. Here’s a quick Christmas card that uses non-traditional colors for a classic card.  It was designed by fellow CG Crew member Amy Seigler, and I loved making it!  Check out her blog here.

Creative Tips –

  • To get the main image to pop, you’ll want to emboss it.  Here Santa was stamped first in Versamark ink and then in Bermuda Bay.  You will want to used clear embossing powder to get that glossy sheen.
  • You can add some texture and character to your designer paper quickly by just sanding the edges with your Stampin’ Sanding System.  It’s quick, easy and has a great distressed and weathered look.  Santas List 001 CU
  • This card uses one of four designs in the 48 page Winter Frost Paper Stack.
  • If you want your greeting to have the look of icing or wet snow, stamp it in Whisper White Craft Ink and emboss it with Clear embossing powder rather than white.  This way it doesn’t take over the card with that bright white look.  Santas List 001 Embossing
  • Isn’t this ribbon slide the perfect compliment to the big guy?  It’s the perfect belt buckle for all your Santa cards.  You get sixteen pieces for only $1.99 for an entire package – that’s 60% off the original price!  But hurry, they are in the clearance rack and when they’re gone, they are gone. • CG rewards

Don’t forget to print up your CG Reward Tracker to track your earned pinecones!  Not sure what I’m talking about?  Check out the new Reward program that just started yesterday.  You earn free stamps for your online purchases!  Remember…there are still 31 hours left in your double reward points special!

Really Good Greetings Mojo Monday 300!

Really Good Greetings 002 Main R

Wow, 300 sketches at Mojo Monday – that’s quite an accomplishment over the past almost 6 years!  I thought my Mojo Monday 300 card deserved some Really Good Greetings for that.  Okay, a little pun intended on the words…lol!  That was almost too easy on an early Monday morning here in the Orlando, Florida area.

I love the way this sketch turned out, my card feels crisp, light and bright.  Of course, I went straight to my, yup you guessed it – color coach for this awesome color combination – Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie.  I knew I was going to use this greeting set, and set out to use my two other favorites – Gorgeous Grunge and Dictionary.  I hope you like it – thanks for the inspiration Julee Tilman, your sketch turned out lovely!

             Mojo300SketchReally Good Greetings 002 Front

Creative Tips –

  • I chose a color combination from the Coastal Cabana card in the Color Coach collection.  I wouldn’t have put these colors together myself, but they definitely work – that’s why I always use my coach – color is not my thing!
  • I knew I didn’t want to over power the card, so I chose two trusty background type stamp sets – Gorgeous Grunge and Dictionary.  I used the stripes on the 5” x 2 5/8” panel – it’s my absolute favorite stamp in my entire collection!
  • For contrast, I kept the Crushed Curry banner solid.  To make the banner end, I used my paper snipsView my video on how to make banner flags Really Good Greetings 002 Side
  • The Pumpkin Pie circle was cut using my new Circles Collection Framelits – it’s the #4 circle.  I stamped the dictionary background stamp using Pumpkin Pie for just that little something.
  • I struggled a bit with how to matte the greeting square.  I didn’t want to incorporate a new color and the other three colors didn’t quite work as a 1/16” border.  I finally decided to go with Whisper White on itself.  By popping it up on dimensionals, it gave it the break and shadow that I needed from a contrasting colored matte.  Really Good Greetings 002 Height
  • To color my greeting, I used the Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • For the flag, I used a scrap piece from the new Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper along with my 1” Square punch
  • The flower was made by punching out two flowers using the new Pansy Punch.  I worked the edges a little of each petal and bent them in on itself.  I worked the Pumpkin Pie flower a bit more since it was in the center.  I created a flower center using the 1/2” circle punch and finished it off with three small Pearl Basic Jewels.Really Good Greetings 002 CU
  • For a finishing touch on this card, I incorporated some paper piercing.  Don’t think that your Paper Piercing always has to be the same all around your card.  If you’ll notice I have two large corners and two lines in addition to a smaller corner on the greeting.  It’s just the right amount without going overboard.

This is actually a great card for anyone who is going through something.  What I like about it the most is that it’s hopeful, bright and cheery.  It’s the perfect card to send to someone who needs a lift in life.  I hope you like it too!

Six Sided Sampler Fun Card

Six Sided Sampler 001 Main

I have been dying to get my hands on the new Hexagon Punch and Six Sided Sampler stamp set.  Today I made a quick Clean and Simple (CAS) card for one of my fun little make-n-takes for tonight’s New Catalog Kick Off stampin’ party at my house.  I’m breaking out all the new goodies that arrived in my box yesterday fresh off the UPS truck from Utah.  I just love the smell of new stuff! Smile

You’ll have to stop by tomorrow to see the other fun card made with Beautifully Baroque and Baroque Motif all the gals are going to make tonight.  Here are a few tips about this fun new set from the new 2013-2014 Catalog.  If you don’t have one, click here to find out how to get one shipped directly to you!

Six Sided Sampler 001 Side

Creative Tips –

  • The first thing I whipped out of my box was my brand new color coach.  This is a stampin’ girls or guy’s best friend.  I quickly flipped to a color that I love – pool party and chose the top color combination of Pool Party, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.  I wanted a nice bright cheery card.
  • Next I stamped several of the hexagon images in my three colors, being careful to line them up just right.  I trim my stamps down to the edge which makes it easier for me to see exactly where my image is.
  • I stamped the pool party hexagons also on my whisper white card stock  because I needed to see where my punches would be placed.  Six Sided Sampler 001 CU
  • I alternated colors as I went so that everything would be spaced just right.
  • I stamped two hexagons on a piece of scrap paper and punched them out using the brand new hexagon punch.  I can see that we will quickly become friends! Smile
  • I just love the three sayings that come with this stamp set (one of my favorite things – when stamp sets have sayings).  I chose the one I liked the best and stamped it in my main color – Pool Party in the open space.  Six Sided Sampler 001 Height
  • My white front is 3 3/4” x 5”, my pool party front is 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” and my white card base is 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”.
  • I added a few small Pearl Basic Jewels to add a little fun finishing touch to my card and popped up my two punched hexagons.Six Sided Sampler 001 Front

You can see that I free hand stamped this card, if I was worried about being absolutely precise, I would use a Stamp-a-Majig.   I hope you love this fun little card!  See you tomorrow – off to finish setting up for everyone today….be sure to check back for specials, retired merchandise and online fun tomorrow. Smile
