Hello World – Last Day!

Today is the last day of the Hello World fundraiser!! I have two simple projects for you today using one of the new YAY Stipes! border stamps two ways along with the Hello World stamps & dies.

We had a goal of $5600 to buy a very much in need classroom some computers to teach some Boston 6th – 8th graders access to computers for education. Read more about it HERE

Hello World Stamp Set

Hello World Dies

I wanted to use the stamp border stamp two ways today – for an ombre look and a bright distress watercolor. The dotted background was super easy to stamp fitting the peaks into the valleys (I always do it bottom up).

Use several blue shades from light to dark & pop your greeting over the lighter area White embossed on black for a nice contrast. I love this Hello, it’s scripty, handwritten, elegant and funky all at the same time.

A little black ribbon finishes the card off up top.

For your brighter version, grab a piece of 140# watercolor paper – I used Strathmore, rub some distress rainbow colors directly onto your paper, spritz with a mini mister and you’re all set! Keep in mind that you want colors that will blend together next to each other – don’t create mud!

A few birds from the Wonderful Wreath stamp/die set add a little interest to the card. I love that there are two stamps that accompany each other in some of the languages in the Hello World set. This Bonjour stamp is my fav!
